is it very hard to change the speedo? right now its 140 km per hour.. i would like to get one that goes higher, prob out of an iroc or z28.

would it be something i can do myself? i consider myself fairly capable.. iv done all the work on my car myself.. beside's a tranny rebuild.

just another thought, how hard would it be to get the 4th gen gauge cluster in there? would it mean installing the whole 4th gen dash? thnx for the help guys

get a 240 speedo out of an Iroc, but you'll need to change your speedo gear at the trans,

4th gen gauge cluster is nothing like a 3rd gen,

ask theSteve about 4th gen dash installed in a 3rd gen

ah alrite.. iv been thinking of swaping in the 4th gen dash, becuase also.. i plan on doing the ls1 and t-56 swap into the car.. i just need to find a donor car which is the hard part.
so i was thinking of swaping the dash over as well out of the donor car.. and maybe the seats.

iv never drove a 98+ camaro.. what's your guys opinion? like the 4thgen or 3rd gen dash?

expect close to $10,000 for the LS1/T56 swap,
if you want it done right, give or take for the motor/trans, I planned for about $5000-$6000

I've being planning mine for awhile, its not cheap,
hopefully I'll get it done in the next year or 2

ya, i expected that much. i contacted hawks third gen down in south carolina and they said they would do the entire turn key job, for 8-12 US thats everything i need, going from 2.8 auto to ls1 / t56. upgrading the rear end also. pretty steep price. might be cheaper to find a donor car and get a shop to do the swap, buying the custom parts needed from hawks, or letting the shop deal with fab. those.

i hope to do mine within a year or 2 also.. maybe next summer or next winter.. or the one after that :fingersx:
