Fucking Yanks

I would like to know if any one has any horror stories about brand new parts from the states having defects, bad craftsmanship, bad shipping, ect.
I wanted to start this topic because I just bought a brand new set of forged full floating I beam rods from scat ;D. On the weekend I was going to put the short block together only to find that 4 out of the 8 piston pins wouldnt fit in the small end of the rod. I tried everything and looked for burrs, but I came to the conclusion that they where underspec. >:(
I would be stuck with the 8 dollar bill each to resise but thanks to russ at bestbuy :) ,bestbuy will try to get the money back from scat.
I think its bullshit that yanks think that we all still live in iglus, and that they can send all their shit parts to us because they think we wont notice. >:(

maybe its your pins that are out of spec? :-X

nope, i tried different pins in different rods and all the pins wouldent fit in those 4rods :o

the pins were tite on 2 rods but that was cuz the rods were still cold and the pins were warn.... there was some casting flash on one rod :-\ we'll see how good they are in a few months ;D

only thing ive had a problem with was wheni ordered my rag slider top from street beat customs it was shipped with a little nick in the corner of the material...called 'em back and they sorted it out. :)
