Just wondering if anyone has documentation about paint and interior color restrictions on these cars?
Out of the many cars I've seen, there have been only white, red, black and a few blue cars.
I've also only seen grey and some black interiors...never any tan or red...
Any ideas?

Mind are red/grey and white/grey.
In the past, there was quite a few yellow camaros make. Somewhere I have a picture of ALL the 1986 cars as they left the shop where they were assembled. 60% where white, then the rest were blue, red, yellow and prehaps a few black cars (hard to distinguish from blue in the picture).
They say in 89 when the R7U code came out your only choice was color. As most cars had some sort of graphics, I would guess white or black would have been the most common.

Yeaj, I suppose the 86/87 cars would be the different ones...yellow was actually available in those years but not 88 and up...
Interesting to hear that there were some red interior cars...perhaps some of those early yellow cars had tan interiors too.

Now I remember a guy at work owned a red on red 88 A4U IROC. It was a car he bought from Canadian Tire here in Calgary after they fired their driver before the 1988 season even started!
Sadly, he severely regrets selling it years ago. I got the VIN from him and confirmed it was a series car...I've even seen the car in person a while back, it is still in town.
