I need a bit of info and was hoping maybe some of you guys could help. First of all the car is a 1987 Firebird. It was sold with a switch inside the car to turn on the fan, instead of where the engine is. There is no coolant temerpature switch left in the car, and I know that cars manufactured came with them, so what happened with it I am sure. What I am wondering is how hard it would be to wire in a new one and add one? How much work and hours is one looking at? It is a bit of a pain in the butt flicking on the switch everytime the car reaches a certain temperature because you have to keep being observant of it, where as if you had the coolant temperature switch you wouldn't have to worry. So it would be a better idea I am guessing. Also, this may be useful info...the radiator fan just went and needs to be replaced, just haven't gotten around to changing it with my dad yet...could that have went because of the problem mentioned above?
