Yeah id do that to a good strong tranny if i pulled up next to a friend or something, but not a 700r4... I worry every day if the one in my truck is gonna go. and if it does, im basically forced to replace it with the same thing, stupid length.

yeah thats definitely a good idea
id also look in to getting a T-5 from one of these built stronger and then moving the motor forward or back to accomidate the length.
