Well.....I've never done anything to a transmission laying on the floor of my garage, so I want to know if I should be doing anything to it. ? ? ? I've kept a manual and an auto just laying there, so what should I do to keep them good

if they are sitting there intact, as long as they are inside and not out in the wheather etc they will be fine, just seal the cooler lines on the auto, and dont tip it to the front or back or there will be fluid all over ;D 8)

I was sure I wasn't the first person to think about it. The last thing I want to happen is for the inside of an "extra" transmissons to rust its guts out. I keep the tranny's in my garage, right along side my engines. Thanks for the info!

my brother has one thats been sitting in the ditch for a month or two. well not the ditch exactly, its the long grass on the side of my parents house. heh. he only wants $50 for it. he isnt even gonna clean it up or nothing.

edit: if anyone seriously cares i can post a pic of it. its a turbo 350 automatic with the flex plate and stuff...
