88 camaro and 86 firebird

i blew my engine, and i was wondering if the 1988 camaro v6 engine would be the same as the 1986 firebird v6? thanks for the help :)

2.8L?... long block will, some accesories will prolly be different.

actually ive looked at all kinds of V6 camaros and firebirds from 86-89 and they all look identical...ive used accesories from firebirds on my camaro. only major difference ive seen is the airbox location (vs front intake on camaro). that woulds matter if ut just swappin motors anyway. belts and everything were the same.
