got ahold of a 89 9bolt with 3.27's. What gears can I put in it? or is it not possible to swap in this year?
How do you shim a posi?
Recommendations of what to do while it's not in car?

The gearsets available for 9 bolts are 2.77, 3.27, 3.45 and 3.70
Ive never actually shimmed a LSD unit before myself, but you basically put shims in behind the clutch packs to make them stay tighter in a straight line, less slip
While it's not in the car, I'd repack the bearings, change the seals and check the ring and pinion for wear (unless you are changing the gearset)

ah okay you got the PBR style brakes, so the e-brake cable is a different style as well, I was going to tell you to check the springs
