Hello all, just found this site on line. Looks like a good group!

I picked up my 69 RS/SS about 2 years ago. My dad and I will be doing a full Pro-Touring Resto on it starting this summer.

I will be parting out a lot of the car in the near future, so if you are interested in any parts let me know.

Here are a couple pics:

Nice, but PLEASE don't bastardize it with the outdated Pro Touring look. A nice resto with a few modern suspension parts and maybe 17's or so is nice, but too many guys hack these things up and inject them and put honkin huge wheels on them AND THEY'RE NOT BEING MADE ANYMORE and I'm jealous. There, I said it.

I thought the cigarette butt really accented the missing rear bumper.

Trust me, this car will be built for function over form. Big wheels and bling bling are not my thing unless it serves a purpose.

You're a rare breed because those things are so fucking expensive, I'd love to get my hands on a 67-68 'Bird.

That Nova is my dads. It is a 1970 Nova SS. He bought it off the original owner in 1972 and took it apart in 1974. His original plans were to back half the car and make it into a pro-street drag car :banghead: Good thing i came into the picture shortly after and he couldn't afford to do anything to the car until 2000 when it went through a complete frame off nut and bolt restoration.

The car has 41000 original miles on it. Every piece of metal is original except for the floors. It was media blasted and there is absolutely no bondo in the car whatsoever. He kept the chassis totaly stock. He did put in bolt in frame connectors and competition engineering slide-a-links. The engine is a built 383 w/ a M-22 Rock Crusher and the original 12bolt POSI rear with 3.93" gears.

Interior is a standard black bench interior. All stock w/ Autometer tach, Oil press, coolant temp, oil temp guages.

The car is about 90% complete, but he still wants to change a few things here and there to make it a bit more fun to drive on the street (ie. power steering, different wheels and tires, front suspension etc.) In my opionion there is more work to be done in the engine bay as well. I don't like the lake of a common theme with everything under the hood, but as always the project is never totally complete is it?

damn dude! very sexy cars.

out of pure curiosity...how much does a 1st gen in that sorta condition go for? Looks PERFECT for a project...no major cancer, but not something they'd ask 50K for either...

It is a great project car. I looked for almost 2 years to find it. I paid around 15k for it.
