Interchangeble?

Are the parts from a newer 97 camaro diff ie Disk brakes gears and posi, able to be swapped onto a 3rd gen diff?

yes all the 89-97 PBR rears are interchangable, as far as rear brakes go.* You'll need the ebrake cables since the PBR has a specific cable too.

Gears will drop right in, posi shouldnt be a problem, except if your rear is a pre-87.* There was a spline count change, what year is your diff?

I'm pretty sure it's out of an 88 but it has drum brakes.

If your rear end is a 88 thats perfect it's the 28 spline count axles and will work right up to 97.
