I have the idea to change the cluchts from my rear end...
I would like to know how hard can be?
Tools I have a lot and if I don't have I can buy...
Any good advice?
Steps?
In my Camaro I like to work on it...I don't like to send to somebody to do it....because it's my project rebuild everything by myself....

I have 10 bolt Drum to Drum rear differential with 3.08 gears, E brake cables and Master Cylinder and Prop Valve pulled it with 145,000 kms Limited slip for $300.00 OBO Came out my 91 Z-28. Call me if ur interested 604 328 4107 DAVE

I went through this before. I thought those cone clutches could be replaced. Wrong. If your posi's not working then the cone clutches are boring into the basket (Ithink). I'm not really to sure how posi works. It just does. Point is when this particular style goes (cone) you need to replace more than the clutches. I've heard that people change it out to a different clutch system after too.

I could be wrong but this is what I've gathered here from other people's posts. Your axle may not even have them, depends on the year.

Cone style posi's can not be rebuilt.....there is a trick which involves grinding one side of the case when separated but realistically, buy a new posi, less hassle and longer lasting.
