Brakes

I've got a 94 camaro in my backyard thats been reduced to a shell, and I've been thinking of putting the front brakes on my 89. Would this be a worth while swap? Everyone does the LS1 swap, but I am hoping that the LS1's and the LT1's are interchangeable.

So can you upgrade the 94 LT1 brakes to 98 LS1 brakes without changing the spindle assy?

no...in order to run the LS1 brakes on an LT1 car you will need to purchase the LS1 spindle

i have a set of LS1 brakes if you're interested...complete setup...calipers, spinders, rotors, speed sensors, hub bearing assemblies...etc.

Dont bother putting LT1 brakes on the 89, it's hardly an upgrade.

Nin PM the price for the brake set up. I dont have alot of $$$ but if its within my budget I might consider it.

The only advantage I would see doing the LT1 swap would be that the rotors are way thicker and the pads are huge compared to mine. I'm still waiting to see if the Autocross people will let me convert my front brake setup to hat/rotor style. They may not so I have to wait and see.
