this was in my old malibu SW 400 SB consistent high 12s on street tires

#1 ford fairlane 429- about a 30 km roll on, he must not have known how to drive because he just planted his foot to the floor and couldnt get traction. That was an easy kill

#2 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder- took off like a bat outta hell off the line so i was kinda shitting my pants that i would lose to an import but i passed him quickly after that.

#3 '90 mustang notchback 351...bbk headers, edelbrock intake, flowmaster headers- not a freaking chance i was going to loose to a stang especially the day i got my 4:11s in :)

#4 some sort of newer kawasaki- thought my car was faster than it was...i launched perfectly and thought i had a shot until i got to about 80km/h and he passed me doing a wheelie and never looked back

#5 78 malibu hooker headers, 3 inch duals into flowmaster, edelbrock airgap intake, accel ignition- i was racing a friend who just wanted to see how fast his car was...i probably beat him by a second or so.

#6 1980 z28-350 bored, msd ignition, edelbrock intake,crane cam, flowmaster350cu bored 30 over 9.5:1 compression whit flat top pistons, 202 camel back heads, crane 272 fireball cam, edelbrock performer intke and eldelbrock 600 cfm carb, it is all blue printed and balanced. 350 turbo trans stage 2 and 411 gears in the rear end- very close race, i edged him out by a car length or two

#7 96 camaro ss with full exhaust- car was pretty fast, didnt get to fully race but we were even through my first gear

Actually that reminds me of a couple months ago i was cruising on lougheed , and i was doing like 80 and i was just driving...so im driving and i went pass this older Lx that had exhaust too, and then he stomps on it to keep up with...like, just becaue im driving fast he figured i was being cool or trying to race him or something, so i just floored it and he couldnt keep up, not even close.

So i figured that'd put him in his place, but i guess not cause he tried to do it again, and he keeps staring at me, and i kept flooring it past him and it was good times...

here's the cracker, he has his gf on the back the whole time, when they stop at the next light, she lifts up his visor and goes apeshit on him...

yeah, my car looks nice, at least :)

NEW ADDITION!!!! Acura RSX (not type S) he pulled beside me and stepped on it, i romped on the gas at 4000rpm in 2nd....and blew his doors off. Near HomeDepot in Vic just off the highway.

I only have short list of 2 cars, i beat a '90 Stang Gt with exhaust by 2 car length at least. His girlfriend wasnt impressed cuz he jumped first and still lost. The other is my friends purple 95 Gt. I bogged out on the start and still took 2 car length. I hope i get more kills by the end of summer. You guys have sum pretty sweet ones i must say

his tranny is broke last time i heard.. so i highly goubt it. all DSMs with Blitz kit makes for a good attack of the clones series... near impossible to differentiate between the two cars with the same kit.

My best kill thus far:

Steveston highway and 4 road in richmond, and I pull up next to this bright yellow 360 Spider. The guy just built the biggest house in richmond (my buddy did the trees), and he's got a couple hummers, ferrari, etc etc, and one HELL OF A HOT TROPHY WIFE! Which figures cuz apparently he's some french designer. So she's in the passenger seat and thel are all actin' snobby with their psuedo-ferrari (Enzo Ferrari himself said that no Ferrari should have anything less than 12 cylinders , hence the Dina was actually built udner the Fiat name). Did I mention I had the Whitesnake cranked? Go Old School soundtrack. So the light goes green and we both accelerate normally, and my buddy is just staring at the wife the whole time, I was looking at the car, and he looked over at us staring at his wife and car and decided to punch it in second, so I floor it and we're level through to third, where he missed a shift and plants the thing in what must have been fifth, so we went flyin' by... then he pulled into the country club, so we didn't get a second chance.

Was it a 355 Spyder or a 360 Modena? If you were keeping up with a Modena thats pretty impressive...but if you're calling a 360 a psuedo Ferrari that's just wrong..that car is amazing...hell both the 355 and the 360 are georgeous pieces of machinery...ive had the pleasure to be in both (friends dad has had both) and I basically splooged my pants as soon I sat in them...and the ferrari v8 sounds amazing...and isnt that much slower than even the 575M V12 pushing way more horse.

ive sat in the SL, and i can garuntee the build quality of the ford will not touch that car. theres a reason why its a roadster and weights 4000 lbs, its got lots of metal, insulation and materials, one solid machine.

Coincidentally, I have driven both. The GT in Seattle for three days last year, and the SL65 in Vancouver for a week about two months ago. Of the two, I'd rather live with the GT as a daily driver. First, there's the fact that you could buy a GT and have enough money left over for a second car (or bike). Second, there's the fact that the SL65 gets embarrassed by the SL600 from 0-60 due to the added weight of the SL65. On that note, it doesn't have "4000 lounds of metal and insulation." It has 4000 pounds of twin-turbo V12. It has just as much metal and insulation in it as a $91,000 SL500. So the built quality is actually of that of a car that is much cheaper than the GT. And about the GTs build quality, in a word, it's fantastic. Hand assembled (it's not like it's built on the same assembly line as the Focus), it reeks of quality. It comfortable for long distances, and is more driver oriented than the SL. As for Mercedes being known for great quality, why don't you see more 80's Benzs on the road then?

Lastly, the Ford GT will kick it's ass around any street or track on earth. Those are the fastest performance numbers for both vehicles (the only way the Mercedes would pull a faster quarter mile would be if it was chained to the back of a Top Fuel car), and I seriously doubt you'd want to tune the Benz V12TT. And if you did feel sadistic enough to try, you'd probably be unable to get any more power without spending more money than it would have cost to just buy an SLR. Even then, the lighter much nimbler.

And as for the stupid statements of "German engineering lasts forever and fords die at 100,000 miles" those are just fuckin' retarded generalizations that I won't even justify responding too, except to say that the German general maintance that you mention costs exorbitant amounts of money, and for $1000 US per oil change, I'd hope my german car lasted a while.

As for looks, well, thats a personal choice. Maybe I'm just bored of seeing SL's...

I've also got an Edelbrock Performer Nitrous setup plumbed with a 100 shot to put back in this summer, as well as a B&M line lock, electric water pump, and electric fan to put in. After that I'm swapping over to a 5.7. Daily driver baby...
