Hey, I'm wondering if anyone's got any experience taking off the louvres on the hood of a 3rd gen... The little plastic "nut/bolt" pieces holding it to the hood break when you try and unscrew them...
Any suggestions...?

i fixed two on my car (very front ones were broken and caused the louver to lift up at high speeds. most of the female thread was left so i threw some washers around it, got it above the top of the plastic, then a smaller washer on top and a metal screw into the plactic. works like a charm, hope that made sense. if ur doin an expensive repaint you might wanna just buy some new louvers? couldnt hurt.

Hey guys!
I am about to paint my "headlight bucket" areas and the louvres on the hood. What is the factory color? Are they semi gloss black or gloss black?
Lee.
