those particular ones look really good...not sure why he would need two sets of components though
its really not as much work as you would think...just takes patience
have you thought about making kick pods instead? They would probably be better for soundstage but its not too roomy by your feet after you install them

I'm olnly going to do one set, I'd do kick pods but I'd hit them all the time with my feet

i thought about doing mine in the kicks at first...but i would boot the speakers too much...ive done many door pods before with good results. This time i wanted to do something different so im working on glassing them into the top of the a-pillar, but my car still leaks a bit too much so my glassing time is limited.

with kicks you can make an average set of speakers sound amazing...which goes to show you that install is 90% of having good sound
i think it would be better if the pods were facing the opposite way. In other words, the tweeters were at the back of the door and the mid more near the front

what do you need with 4/0 gauge?? Thats quite overkill isnt it? or are you planning a new setup. That will look like a snake under your carpet
but its been done :)

So not fair! That's not 4/0 cable is it. It looks way bigger or that chick has small hands...

yup thats a piece of 4/0 gauge beside 4 gauge wire. I have quite a bit of 1/0 gauge and some 2/0 gauge. Generally 3/0 and 4/0 arent used as often because they're hard to find and hard to work with, most people will just use double 1/0 gauge.
what are you using the 4/0 for?

Well, I figured what the hell. Might as well go big since I've got the wire just sitting here ::) Drawing over 200A doesn't require that big of wire, but since I have all the stuff for it why not. Better than running dual 4's. What is the diameter of your 4/0? It really looks bigger than mine, and I'm more than positive that mine is 4/0. Mine is from Cobra Wire and it also fits the 4/0 crimps from Panduit. Maybe it has to do with stranding.

uh....thats not 4/0! Thats more like 8/0! Does it say 4/0 on the side? Mine is only about 3cm across.

4/0 is 0.586" or 1.49cm
Youve got some big cable man....

What do you need with 4/0 cable for. I work on semi trucks they only use 3/0 for starters pulling as much as 900 amps.
you planning on running 13000 watts plus

Cobra Wire's rating is 400A continous. But I don't know. I was drawing 200A at 24V through 2AWG and it was getting significantly warm!

ya it says 4/0 on the back...the insulation is fairly thick though too.
as far as i know they dont make larger than 4/0 awg wire...but i may be wrong
