just wondering if anyone has any newer alpine amp experience as far as owning, i want to know about them in the field if you know what i mean.

since my stereo got jacked i am in a dilema of a dual amp setup. i was thinking go cheaper and get the MRV-F345 4ch. for components paired with a MRD-M605 mono. these are not huge amps, conservative. i can get a good deal on them.

or do i use the money i got now and get the MRV-F545 beast, and save up extra for the MRD-M1005 for more sub power? i think ill be going with a single type X 12" plus the 4ch small one has 75wX4 and the bigger one has 125wX4, wondering if its worth going to the bigger one? i have good components, DDDrive 6.5" 2 ways. as for the sub amp its a matter of 600w 2ohm or 1000w 2ohm, i hear those X's are power mongers, i wonder if the smaller will have enough jam? basically im looking at 500 extra to go the bigger route? suggestions or insight in the amps if anyone is running them?

are you running a component set or just coaxial speakers?

if its a set then you only need a 2 channel amp because the power splits at the crossover. Which will save you some money so you can go with the m1005 aswell.

It should be a night and day difference between 600 and 1000 watts with that sub. Go ported and you'll never go back

they are 2 way coaxials but i want to add some rear speakers also. or i might put the DDDrives in the rear and get some components for the front, havent decided. and yes im all about the ported. ive always been ported, its the way to go

I've always loved my alpine stuff,

only time I didn't like is when I tried to run 2 type-r 10's off my m300

coaxials in the rear running off deck power and components in the front off a 2 channel amp.

rear speakers are over rated, but a little bit of rear fill is nice sometimes

I've just finished 3 systems using pretty much what your asking about.
The first one was a Denali with the f345 for front and rear and the m605 for a single Boston 10 in the rear quarter. It sounded really good and had lots of power to go loud.
The next one was his sons Denali with the f545 for front and rear and a 1005 for 2 Boston 10's sealed. It went alot louder and had more control then daddy's truck.
Then I did an s-10 blazer with the f345 running front and rear and 2 1005's mono to 2 x-type 12's, this truck was insanely loud and painfull to sit in.
The f345 and 605 are really good amps and well serve you well but if you go with the 1005 you will not be dissappointed. The 1005 has an insane amount of power. Either way I reccomend porting the box. It only needs to be a little bigger then sealed but will give you even more output.

alpine is pretty much the only brand i have ever used, and i have never had a problem with any of their stuff. if it aint broke dont fix it. great sound quality and their subs have pretty decent potential if put in the right box.

thumbs up for alpine :D
