I'm looking into building a small block 400 twin turbo, I went out a few years ago and got a bunch of parts, AFR 210 heads, 286 roller cam, gold race roller rockers and a few other parts. I have now just got the block and now i'm trying to find out what kind of pistons and connecting rods i should use. I am also wondering what kind of intake i should use, i have TPI and would like to keep it that way, but i have heard that it would probably choke out the engine. would that still be true if i were to put twin turbos on it?

Any thoughts on running timing for TPI with Aluminum Heads? I've personally tried just playing around with the timing tables, but i'm not really seeing any seat of the pants differences. I'm basically running WOT timing around 34*, seems good, pulls hard.

I'm tuning a Speed Density setup, so there are VE tables to adjust as well, it seems when i pull timing it leans it out?

I'm running 64cc alum heads, 2.02/1.60 valves, 10:1 compression. Anyone else here running SD setups?

anyways!

one of the characters had a moustache and claimed it was so he could appeal to older women. he said it reminded them of a better time when women thought burt reynolds was sexy in his camaro.

Shouldn't there be some kind of stage in the movie process that would filter out ridiculous errors like this. The Bandit, one of the most famous cars of all time, was a trans am. not a camaro.

I liked the movie, but that stupidity just pretty much ruined the whole thing for me.

I just replaced my high mile Chevy 5.3 engine from my Avalanche with a Caddy 6.0 so I can better haul my 8500 pound race trailer. I'll let the old one go for less than what a core would cost at the wreckers. It is running well, but does have 180,000 km on it, so it would need a teardown. Maybe use it as a mule to build up a 3rd gen for an LSX, then put the real engine in there? I have all the brackets, sensors, most of the harness, and the manifold w/ignition/fuel injection too. The heads work well on LS engines I'm told.
